Job Responsibilities:
- From equipment start-up through the warranty period, Sales Application Engineers must provide customers with ongoing technical support.
- This support includes responding to customer issues, providing updated software that solves minor bug issues, performing installs for customers and working with the customer service team.
- Demonstrating project management abilities
- Developing strong quantitative skills
- Collaborating across interdisciplinary teams
- Advance skill in Industry-specific experience would be added advantage though not critical (optical profiler/ nanoindentation/X-Ray inspection/Scanning electron microscope/Scanning acoustic microscope)
- Familiarity with company product
- Able to manage chaotic environment
- Assumes the primary technical relationship with the customer
- Identifies customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual clients.
- Able to travel island wide or WW to meet manufacturers/customers
- Setup, calibrate, and service equipment on-site
- Resolved customer application and occasionally minor tool issues
Additional responsibilities :
- Projects pursuit, Key Account Management & Direct Sales to End-users
- Ability to analyse the market, plan strategies, execute plans and monitor status of achieving sales targets
- Must provide industry leading customer experience and will be responsible for handling enquiries from an inbound queue and make outbound sales calls on existing leads or strategic sales programs.
- Experience in managing sales and profitability of the total business
- Provide prior/after sales service to new and existing customers
- Preparation of quotations, clarification of technical specifications with customers
- Activities include daily customer interface, lead qualification, influencing buying decisions, directing customers through order processes, owning or channelling customer escalations to appropriate resources, understanding and making solution-based sales recommendations and identifying needs/trends within their business.
- Establish and develop good customer service relationship
- Identify and target new strategic market segments.
