Job Description:
- Conduct organoleptic and analytical evaluation (SGRI, flashpoint, pH determination, sensory analysis, gas chromatography) flavours and fragrance
- Maintain integrity, accuracy and completeness of QC data and records
- Issue analytical report as required by relevant parties
- Conduct investigation on customer feedback for samples and rejected items
- Participate in all testing and odour panels without limitation
- Support the daily operations of the laboratory, including maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments
- Ensure adherance to GMP, quality, work safety requirements at all times
- Assist QA/QC Manager on all matters relating to quality management system as well implementation of continuous improvement in QC functions
Job Requirement:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree majoring in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences or other related specialization
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position in the fragrance and flavour industry
- Training or knowledge in sensory evaluation is necessary
- Experience in chromatography such as GC, GC-MS preferred
- Experience in generating technical reports
- Possess intricate knowledge of chemical properties especially in the area of flavours and fragrances
- Ability to work closely with the technical team (fragrance and flavour creation, fragrance evaluation and flavour applications as well as production)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills required
- High ability to work independently under pressure and within deadlines
- Meticulous and detailed, as well as methodical and resilient
- Has good memory and excellent olfactive sensitivity
