Responsibilities:
 Provide practical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to project staff on
implementation of Project Sites safety rules, safety initiatives and other necessary changes
 Develop and execute health and safety workplan according to WSH acts and its regulation
and incorporating into the company and client’s requirements
 Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
 Update, distribute and communicate the changes in HSE Management System
 Promote and raise awareness by implementing training activities and employee safety
programs and ensuring adequacy to our strategic safety planning and development (includes
developing of training materials and training schedule etc)
 Perform inspections, audits, analyze and report HSE performance to Seoul Office.
 Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new preventive measures
 Maintain and coordinate international / local authority certification
 Assist in reviewing tender documents and ensure compliance to the relevant contractual as
well as country regulatory requirements
 Participate in major vendors / equipment assessment, selection and evaluation
 Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new preventive measures
 Investigate incidents to identify the root causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
Equipment safety
 Setup procedures according to corporate safe work instruction (inclusive of Construction
Equipment) in compliance with local HSE legislation
 Conduct inspections and make recommendations to regional leadership for improving
equipment usage on construction sites
 Serve as primary contact for regional equipment and responding to any requests from
Project Sites and Seoul Office
 Review and complete incident investigations and identify corrective actions for all equipment
related incidents
 Identify the training needs of project staff for safe usage of equipment / machinery used on
site
 Communicate local and international equipment standard to all project sites inclusive of
industry best practices and lessons learnt

Requirements:

 Bachelor Degree preferably in Workplace Safety & Health or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

 Minimum 10 years’ HSE related experience in construction industry, preferably managing LTA projects

 Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower (MOM)

 Certified Appointed Person – Lifting Operations preferred
