Key Responsibilities:
Generating fire protection life safety code analyses
Performing sprinkler system shop drawing plan reviews
Performing hydraulic and seismic bracing calculation reviews
Performing site inspections and generating field reports
Evaluates the fire resistance of building and structures
Generating narratives, cost estimates, and performing calculations
Coordinating fire protection features with other disciplines
Attending meetings, compiling report data, and supporting presentations to managers and
clients
Being a dependable team player ready to learn and assist in whatever capacity is needed
Reviewing existing building plans and construction site plans to ensure compliance with fire
protection codes and standards
Risk assessment and management, determining the likely causes of fire and ways to improve
prevention
Requirements
Knowledge and experience in design and inspection of fire protection sprinkler systems
Minimum 3 years significant working practiced managing Fire Protection / Construction
installation and management
Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience using AutoCAD and Revit preferred
Capable of interacting professionally with clients and working collaboratively with a team
Interest in developing and/or expanding your career in fire protection design
