Duties and accountabilities

  1. A) Finance support:
  • Submission of invoices / bills for payment processing
  • Liaising with external vendors on settlement updates
  • Maintaining records of staff and vendor expenses and collation of supporting documents
  • Run and analyse expense reports with line manager
  • Prepare / update slides for weekly team meeting
  • Assisting with regulatory reporting
  1. B) Credit control:
  • Allocation of premium received in Eclipse system
  • Submit premium payment requests as directed by line manager
  1. C) Adminstration duties:
  • Booking of flights and accommodation (preferred corporate hotels) for underwriters and senior management group
  • Mailbox clearing
  • De-facto cover for Office Manager’s reception duties when the latter is on leave

 

Skills, knowledge and experience

We are looking for a person who is willing to learn and develop his/her skills and knowledge of financial managemen and general insurance (specialist classes of business). There is significant room for technical insurance know-how development for this role over time.

Technical Competencies:

  • Have at minimum a Diploma in Finance / Accounting or Business Administration
  • Working experience is preferred but new graduates are most welcomed to apply for this role
  • Proficient user of MS Excel and Powerpoint.
