Job Description:
- Execute an intensive programme of planned preventive maintenance for all company buildings and utilities.
- Execute all mechanical & electrical repairs in relation to buildings and utilities, planned and executed whilst minimising risk and disruptions.
- Perform maintenance on utilities equipment such as Chiller, Air-compressor, Boiler, water treatment, HVAC System and electrical system.
- Complete all maintenance logs and schedules etc. accurately and timely to comply to legislations and requirements (ie. Health and Safety legislations, Company, Insurance and ISO requirements, etc.)
- Liaise with external contractors, technicians and engineers as and when required.
- Implement regular health and safety checks and inspections and take timely corrective action.
- Report problems and / or unsafe practices and propose recommendations or solutions to relevant Supervisors and Health and Safety Committee.
- Carry out modifications to work benches and new equipment as required.
- Follow up on action points on the Health & Safety Improvement Log and by the Health and Safety Committee within the agreed timelines.
- Ensure compliance of quality maintenance procedures eg. Calibration of measuring equipment.
- Review processes and systems regularly and propose suggestions for improvement.
- Ensure timely reporting of all major breakdowns, significant problems, repair requirements, delays or machine downtime to relevant personnel.
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least ITE (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
- Minimum 2-3 years of related field experience.
- Candidate should possess good analytical and problem solving skills, good judgement and integrity.
- Candidate should possess proactiveness and good time management skills.
- Candidate should be willing and able to participate in on-call rotation when required.
- Candidate should possess technical experience in executing machinery repairs, fault-finding and problem-solving within the Distribution and Manufacturing industry.
- Candidate should possess good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and in teams.
- Possessing a Class 3 driving license and hands-on knowledge of mechanical, PLC and electrical system is an added advantage.
