Job Description:
- Planning of monthly production schedules, forecasting and analyzing the production results
- Executing the production plans for all machine models
- Taking care of new machine series’ production processes
- Monitoring parts purchase, work in progress and cost of parts
- Working closely with production floor to execute smooth parts flow in meeting stringent production requirements and tight deadlines
- Supervising the improvement and installation of production system in line with Japan HQ’s direction
- Familiar with Japan HQ’s global supplier chain, able to engage and handle the price negotiation processes between HQ, Japanese vendors and entire global supplier chain
- Acting as the liaison party to interface between Singapore production plant, Japan HQ and Japanese vendors in Japan
- Knowledgeable and able to handle the price negotiations for items required including but not limited to CNC controller, linear guide, control box, chip conveyor, etc
- Spearheading the overall production cost saving projects and plans
- Preparing and submitting purchasing related reports to Japan HQ (reports must be prepared in Japanese language)
Job Requirements:
- Possess a diploma qualification in related discipline with minimum 8 years of working experience in manufacturing environment
- Well versed in executing the production plans for all machine models
- Excellent in AS400 and Microsoft Office skills
- Possess in depth knowledge in export and import documentation and related matters
- Able to adapt to the working styles of Japan HQ’s Purchasing Division, perform its functions and entire global supplier chain
- Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Overtime work expected due to heavy workload and responsibilities
- Independent and highly motivated with high team spirits
- Relevant working experience is a pre-requisite
