Job Description:

- Understand marine automation technology and equipment such as Alarm and monitoring system, Power Management System and propulsion control system, etc.
- Design, modify, implement, test and commissioning marine automation equipment, programs to required job specification in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Develop project related technical documents.
- Coordinate and handle follow-up activities with external & internal parties concerning technical developments, scheduling and resolution of engineering design and test problems.
- Participate in design and documentation reviews, update management on work progress and deviations.
Requirements:
- Proficient with CAD software such as AutoCAD is essential
- Possess knowledge of industry standard on equipment design, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals etc.
- Creative thinker and able to demonstrate simple project management and problem-solving skills
- Independent self-starter with good written communication and analytical skills
- Candidate with automation design, PLC experience, understanding of computer programming and software development is highly desirable
- Willing to work onboard the vessel for site commissioning.
