Job Description:

  • Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from vendors in term of new items or existing items
  • Check supplier the updated price for the items before ordering
  • Issuance of purchase orders to overseas & local suppliers and GRN
  • Management of day-to-day procurement requirements for Projects by direct liaison and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in cost reduction, lean inventory control, vendors’ performance and collaboration
  • Forecast demand, inventory trends to meet operational needs and minimize surplus and wastage
  • Keep track goods/ machinery/ tools/ material that issue for Project Department
  • Check, follow up and received goods from the supplier
  • Management of import shipments and deliveries with forwarders and couriers, ensuring smoothness and efficiency
  • Stock-in the goods received
  • Check the equipment stock availability once received the equipment/material list from relevant department
  • Prepare the equipment or materials depends on stock availability and short of stock
  • Do necessary arrangement with engineer to test the equipment
  • Liaison with Operation department for the goods arrival schedule
  • Issued Goods Issuance Form (GIF)
  • Checks of the items and inform procurement, projects and other parties concerned of the status
  • Received and record goods return
  • Prepare and arrange RMA goods (shipping out and until received the repaired goods)
  • Review of all costing and consolidation of pricelists for all the brands
  • Coordination with the with the accounts department and report to Managing director regarding expenditure, monthly or yearly stock take, ensuring prompt and timely payments to suppliers
  • Source for new supplier list for all equipment and material for standby purpose
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks

Requirement

  • Able to work in a fast pace environment, independently and result oriented.
  • Highly driven with a positive attitude to learn and propose for improvement.
  • Prior working in procurement or category management is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, presentation and negotiation/ analytical skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task for the works assigned
  • Candidate who as experience in Purchasing of engineering or equipment/machinery parts are preferred
