EDUCATION / TRAINING:

  • Min. Diploma in Quantity Surveyor or M&E Building • Min. 3 years of relevant working experience • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong organisational skills and initiative • Good communication & interpersonal skills • Able to work independently and work well under pressure • Good technical knowledge • Well-versed in interpretation of drawings

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for preparation and submission of tenders including quantity take offs and pricing
  • Sourcing for suitable subcontractors and suppliers to support in tender
  • Identify items that need technical support from operation team and liaise with them on temporary work design, execution methodology and planning matters
  • Identify discrepancies in BQs, drawings, specification and put up queries to consultants or client for clarification
  • Analyse subcontractors / suppliers quotations for completeness and negotiate to sharpen tender price
  • Prepare monthly report : earned value and projected final contract value (including status of re-measurements and variations)
  • Track, record and submit detailed variations claims and close off with client in timely manner
  • Monitor project completion date(s) and assist project manager in time/cost claims
  • Manage progress claims and payments of the prime contract and subcontracts

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: QUANTITY SURVEYOR

  • Handles contract administration and settlement of final accounts with clients and subcontractor
  • Review tender / project requirements and preparation of method statement, work execution plan, QA / QC / HSSE document, project schedule & programming of resources and execution plan for technical proposals of a project
  • Collating all documentation (eg questionnaires, Company’s certificates, etc) for submission
