Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this role are to ensure ongoing smooth operations of the business, support business reviews, and provide analytical support for ongoing improvements as well as development of the future strategy. He/She will hold overall responsibility for the operations including the administrative functions of the department.

  • Responsible for the management and day-to-day smooth running of operations, ensure efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of customers
  • Responsible for the management and development of the operations and customer service shared service team, including performance management, mentoring, training and development, compensation and resourcing matters
  • Leads and manages the operations team towards achieving bottom-line results and cost controlling
  • Assists top management in setting goals that promote company growth
  • Assists in the development of strategic plans for operational activity
  • Defines performance KPIs to monitor operational success against objectives
  • Improves processes and policies in support of organizational goals
  • Streamlines operation procedures and develop plans to manage turnover and workload to improve productivity. Optimise workflows, defining functional SOPs that utilize the company ERP and other related systems.
  • Work with the Operational Excellence team providing feedback and support to continuously drive improvement of company systems and the related systemic workflows.
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives
  • Works closely with other departments (eg. Sales, Warehouse etc) to promote efficient business optimization
  • Provides support to sales division and logistics shared service and analysis of data for reports
  • Reviews financial statements and data and utilize financial date to improve profitability
  • Prepares and controls operational budgets, including inventory management
  • Obtains feedback from customers periodically on the quality of service rendered
  • Analyses customer, distribution and partner data to generate insights for the improvement and execution of the volume business
  • Ensures alignment between, sales, customer success and operations fulfilment
  • Drives safety programs and compliance to safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment and promote a positive health and safety culture

  • Monitor and track key operating metrics on the performance of the business

Job Requirement

    • Degree in Business Management, preferably with 5 years relevant experience in a trading or related environment
    • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
    • Strong in PC applications
    • Strong in Incoterm and GST Knowledge
    • Strong in Import/Export Documentation Knowledge
    • Letter of Credit Knowledge
    • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
    • Strong team player and ability to build strong business relationships with people at all level of a business
    • Self-motivated and has the ability to work independently
    • Possess initiative, positive, partnership mindset and customer-oriented
    • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Possess problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Possess strong analytical capabilities, organisational and strategic planning skills
