Job Responsibilities
- Appraise product quality in accordance with the approved Inspection & Test Plans and determine
- conformity and non-conformity.
- Ensure that all inspection results are properly documented. If non-conformity exists, documentation
- shall be raised to establish corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform field inspections of materials, fitting and protective coating in accordance with project
- specifications / scope of work as identified in the approved Inspection and Test Plans.
- QC inspections and NDT of all (identified) components and / or equipment.
- Assist to ensure that all Inspection Tools and Equipment are returned for necessary control.
- Responsible for all required QC Inspection & NDT within FSA.
- Perform NDT (Utrasonic (UT)/Eddy Current (ET) on aircraft / aircraft component.
- Ensure NDT reference standards are controlled and maintained.
- Maintain and ensure currency of NDT manuals with support from a Level III
- Setup & standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection
- and document results with NDT report as needed.
- Develop and manage work instructions from approved general procedures.
Job Requirements
- SPM or GCE ‘O’ level certificate or higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant national
- qualified certificate).
- Able to interpret technical and engineering drawings.
- Ability to multi tasks, evaluate, prioritize and solve problems to ensure timely and accurate
- completion of projects.
- Familiar with the usage of UT & ET test equipment.
- Knowledge of EN4179 / NAS410 standards will be an added advantage
- Passed Ultrasonic & Eddy Current annual recurrence in accordance with EN4179 / NAS410 NDT
- requirements.
- Possess UT & ET company approval for at least 1 & 2 years in the aerospace industry.
- Able to demonstrate currency of UT & ET by means of a log / letter of experience endorsed by a
- Level III will be an added advantage.
